Prof. Dr. Wulf Bauerfield

Wulf Bauerfeld has a university degree in Physics, a doctoral degree in Information Technology, is professor of Building Automation and Information and a passionate pilot.

He has a sound background in various technical fields: computational sciences, technical communication, renewable energy technologies and applied automation. Before he joined Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft in Berlin (University of Applied Sciences) in 2011 he worked for Deutsche Telekom as an executive consultant and deputy director in national or pan-European projects. His reasoning covers as well socio-technical, economical and political aspects of Internet-based developments. In his younger days he had the chance to teach for 18 month at the University of Texas in Austin and conducted projects for UNIDO in Egypt and Tanzania.

Martin Rodeck

Martin Rodeck is Executive Managing Director Germany of OVG Real Estate since 2014. OVG Real Estate is a leading international office developer, with its headquarters in Amsterdam.

As an innovation officer on the Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA), he is also a leader in the strategic management of digital innovation in the German real estate sector.

He has a degree in civil engineering and began his professional career at Siemens Real Estate as a commercial manager, then later as a technical project manager. Following this, he worked as a project developer at IVG Immobilien AG, and then in 2007 joined ECE Projektmanagement as Managing Director of their project development business for office, logistics, and hotel real estate.

Martin lives in Potsdam with his wife and two daughters. He is an active runner and loves surfing – on snow & water.

Donal Campbell

Donal has been a Senior Project Manager at Deka Immobilien GmbH Frankfurt, since 2000. His role mainly focuses on project development, refurbishment, repair and improvement of landmark commercial property in the UK and Ireland.

Donal is also the in-house sustainability advisor for a portfolio which is in the region of € 32 billion. Approximately 63% of the portfolio is certified with BREEAM, LEED, DGNB etc. Award-winning buildings in the portfolio include Kings Place, London, with the highest BREEAM In Use score worldwide. Donal completed his MSC in Environmental Services in 2007, and had previously worked in the building and construction industry both in the UK, Ireland and Germany.  He is a keen cyclist and musician. He has an interest in psychology, particularly in relation to wellbeing and creation of positive workplaces.

Benjamin Kott

Benjamin is the founder and CEO of EnergyDeck, an award-winning online platform that helps organisations optimise buildings and increase health and well-being.

The driving idea behind EnergyDeck is to combine the collective intelligence of users with advanced analytics, in order to deliver actionable insights into building optimisation opportunities - at scale.

Previously, Benjamin was Google's Green Business Operations Manager and Clean Energy Manager for Europe. In these roles, he was responsible for a broad range of initiatives ranging from building performance improvements to major programmes like Google's Copenhagen Project (COP15). He also led Google's first investment in renewable energy generation outside of the U.S. In addition, he served as Google’s spokesperson on all matters related to the environment, energy and sustainability. Before Google, Benjamin worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton on projects in the high-tech, media, industrial and energy sectors.

Benjamin holds a M.Eng. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Munich Technical University and an MBA from Insead in France. He is a member of the Sustainability Advisory Panel of the BBC, the Sustainability Council of the ULI (Urban Land Institute), and participates in the benchmarking committees of the BBP (Better Buildings Partnership) and GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark).

In other news, Benjamin briefly became a world record holder for Zorba dancing in 2008 (together with 1671 other Googlers).

Dr. Christine Lemaitre

Dr. Christine Lemaitre was born in Gießen, Germany in 1975 and studied structural engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 1995 to 2000. After working in the USA for two years as structural engineer, she started in 2003 working at the Institute of Lightweight Structures Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart as a research and teaching assistant.

In 2007, she started as a project manager for R&D at Bilfinger Berger AG in the area of resource efficient buildings. She completed her phd thesis on adaptive lightweight structures in 2008i. In January 2009 she took on the role as director certification system of the German Sustainable Building Council. Since February 2010 Dr. Christine Lemaitre is the CEO of the German Sustainable Building Council. Since 2013 she is member of the board of directors of the Sustainable Building Alliance, and in 2015 she was elected as Chair of the European Regional Network (ERN) of the World Green Building Council. Since 2016 she is board member of the World Green Building Council (WGBC).

She has significant client-side experience, and has worked for some of the largest private equity companies in the world. She has also held positions as Head of Human Resources, Operations Director and Property Systems Manager.

Frank Beckmann has been working as CFO and CEO with Q-Park, a leading car park operator, from 2005-2015. In January 2015 he became international consultant smart parking & mobility as well advisor for investment companies within the parking sector. In September 2017 he started as managing partner & co founder ParkenPropertyPartner providing all parking expertise as one-stop shop to real estate companies.

Previously he worked for over 12 years as CFO in various companies including three years in Asia. Frank Beckmann regularly publishes newsletters on Linkedin about future developments of parking and mobility. He is member of the advisory board of the Medici Institute in India.
